Working Hard

Boy was it a busy two weeks in my office. I can honestly say I have never been busier and it makes me so thrilled and hopeful for what the future holds for my company.

Here are a few pictures of the orders completed...

Not only did I have the above orders, I participated in the Sugar Plum show. I had a great time meeting potential customers on Friday and Saturday.

I am also now a part of Tassels and Tastemakers!

Tutorial - Beautifully Tied Bow

It always feels amazing to show the pieces to an Invitation and next to that, a picture of the completed project. It is hard for some clients to visualize the composition of an Invitation. It is my job to guide them along the way and provide design insight as to what will make a nice finished product. I love the classic feel that this combination of ecru and champagne produce.

I've also recently been asked how I tie my beautiful bows. It has taken years of practice. Using the same invitation as above, this is the short and simple solution to produce a nice bow every time:

1. Cross the bottom ribbon around the top ribbon.
2. Turn the whole invitation away from your body and pull the ribbon tight and closer to the front tag.
3. Loop the right side ribbon.
4. Cross the left side ribbon and pull it through.

5. Tighten the two sides.
6. Cut the ribbon ends at an angle.
7. Viola! A beautifully tied bow.

Wedding Wednesday: Muckenthaler Mansion

Back in November, I had the pleasure of walking Christy & Matt through their amazing wedding day. Not only did I coordinate, I was trusted with florals and all printed goods. The wedding turned out stunning but nothing close to the beautiful love of this couple.

The theme and tone of the day was set with this 5x5 Champagne pocket fold, elegantly tied with black satin ribbon. The gold monogram G was adorned with Swarvoski crystals.

Christy looked impeccable in her Winnie Couture gown and Christian Louboutin shoes.

The ceremony was set using gold Chivari chairs and swaying strips of fabric. A floral G was tied around the beautiful big oak tree.

No detail was left untouched with the reception set up. Each napkin had a monogram G - compliments of the Groom's Mother! The menus, seating cards and table numbers were made to cohesively continue the theme of the Wedding Invitation itself.

The enclave was artfully decorated with old books, candlesticks, picture frames, mirrors and florals.

Custom runners were placed down the middle of the Almalfi wood tables with alternating candles and floral centerpieces.

One of our favorite parts was the exact-match G cake topper and paisley design on the cake that matched our patterned cardstock.

All guests had the time of their life and it was definitely a day to remember! Congratulations Christy & Matt. We love you and our forever friendship.

Matt and Christy have now been featured on:

Our friends Matt & Christy were married at The Muckenthaler Mansion. We love that they decided to have their ceremony under the trees! The black & gold vintage accents, the lounge furniture & bar cart (picked, purchased & monogrammed by Christy herself) & the romantic reception on the patio were some of the highlights. Their wedding from start to finish was all about love, family & celebration. A big congratulations to the newlyweds, we'll see you two soon!
Christy and Matt are very sweet and such a loving couple.  Their wedding celebration at  The Muckenthaler was effortlessly vintage and retro, but had a classic touch. The day was perfectly coordinated by Colette’s Catering. The additional vendors for this beautiful event are listed below. Enjoy part 1 of Christy and Matt’s day and come back for part 2!
